Do you always finish your novels?

No, because some just don’t work out. That is not to say that some novels do not get re-worked quite some time later when I get a different take on them. Or stay on the back burner for a bit until I want to really get a feel for them again. Not every work is the same and I’m not going to stare at a novel until I go cross-eyed wanting it to work when it doesn’t want to. Although there have been some I have completed that I will never do anything with because I never liked the feel of how they worked out in the end.

    1. I know for my first novels I would just finish them. Work through a rough to get them out of my system. But I have never sought publication or self-published those. I might have if I had been satisfied with them but they never felt finished to me.
